TruXedo Tonneau Covers
Truxedo Lo Pro FAQ's
How do I care for my vinyl tonneau cover?
The vinyl fabric on your tonneau cover can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and may be hand washed or safely cleaned in the car wash of your choice. Thoroughly rinse cover to remove any soap residue. Vinyl cover can be treated with any vinyl protectants made for tonneau covers. Never clean cover with petroleum or citrus-based products, and avoid silicone based protectants. We now offer Pro-TeX™ soft tonneau protectant spray to clean, preserve and protect your soft tonneau.
How do I adjust the tension on my tonneau cover?
The TruXedo® Lo Pro QT tonneau cover has automatic tension control. There are two spring loaded steel plungers at the front of the bed that maintain constant tension on the front header, allowing the cover to stay tight in any weather. Initially, you need to set the tension. This should be done during the warmest part of the day by closing the cover, releasing the Velcro® brand fasteners from both sides near the cab, and checking compression of the spring plungers against the front header. Roll cover open to make adjustments. Repeat until satisfactory tension is achieved. Refer to the TruXedo®

Will the TruXedo® Lo Pro QT work in the winter as well as in the summer?

Will the Lo Pro QT work with a drop in bed liner that goes over the bed rails?
Yes, a Lo Pro QT will work with a drop in bed liner that goes over the bed rails. However, installation for this particular application will vary slightly from the normal installation process. Small holes (approximately 2’x4”) would need to be cut in the bed liner where the clamps will be installed. This allows access to the inner lip of the truck bed. If the liner goes over the front bulkhead and creates a radius at the front, you may need to cut slits in the bed liner at the front of the bed to allow the rails to push further forward in the bed.
Why is there a hole punched on the rear of the passenger side rail of the TruXedo Lo Pro QT, but no latch present?
The reason the rails are all punched the same way is to keep them uniform, for manufacturing efficiency and to reduce tooling costs. By doing this, we are able to keep manufacturing time down to get you your orders faster and also to keep the price of our products lower.
